The Twenty Ninth Annual Cornish Apple Festival

Each year, this FREE festival is held on Saturday September, 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the center of Cornish village in historic Thompson Park and features more than this season’s apples, freshly pressed cider and other apple products from local vendors.

This event features:

  • Over 50 vendors offering jewelry, art, photography, crafts, wood products, goodies, apple and non-apple cuisine
  • Entertainment from local performers
  • Activities For the young or young at heart.
  • Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest and Auction
  • Shopping & dining at many local stops
  • Annual Apple Acres Farm Bluegrass Gathering
  • So much more!

Vendors who have sent in their forms by August 15, should have received a confirmation email or letter from Patty. Vendor forms for 2018 festival were mailed out on July 5 for last year attendees and those who have contacted us and asked for a form. If you were a 2017 vendor or a new vendor who requested a form and did not receive one, or, if you sent in your form and check before August 15 and have not received a confirmation, please contact Patty Rowley at 207-256-6971 or email her at and let her know. Also please provide your email, mailing address and phone number so she can contact you and send you a 2018 vendor form.

The Cornish Association of Businesses (CAB) sponsors the Annual Cornish Apple Festival on the last Saturday in September at historic Cornish Village located in the scenic Western mountain and lakes region of Maine on Route 25 — 30 miles West of Portland and 9 miles East of the New Hampshire border. Thompson Park will be the center of the day’s festivities featuring colorful booths of arts and crafts. Additionally, many food booths offering delicious food, especially the apple fritters, will delight the appetites of both the young and old. In addition to the crafts and food, live entertainment will be performed throughout the day.

The Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest will begin at 1:00 p.m. on the porch of The Cornish Inn. Entries must be registered between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. First, Second and Third place winners will be awarded prizes. At the end of the contest, all pies will be auctioned.

1) All pies are to be traditional two curst pies made from scratch;
2) One pie per person;
3) Use disposable plates only

DROP OFF LOCATION: Deliver pies to the porch of Inn at Cornish, between 11:00AM and 12:30PM, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
No Early Birds, please!

Registration ends promptly at 12:30PM
Judging starts at 1:00PM

All entered pies will be auctioned off after the contest!

Back again this year; parking, shuttle, and antique show!

CAB is coordinating with “Gurley Antique Shows” who is coordinating The Cornish Antique Show and Vintage Fair on the same day as the Apple Festival. Park your car for FREE at the Cornish Fairgrounds and after going to the antique show, take the FREE shuttle service to the Apple Festival! Shuttle will be running to and from both event throughout the day. Please take advantage of this service to help traffic congestion in town.

Shuttle service will be running all day to and from both events.

Apple Festival visitors can also enjoy shopping in the many antique and crafts stores that line the Main, High and Maple streets of Cornish. Shopping is also available at near by town of Limerick, South Hiram, Porter, and Parsonsfield.

Admission to the Cornish Apple Festival is FREE.

The festival is outside and will take place in rain or shine. The Cornish Apple Festival is an annual event sponsored by the Cornish Association of Businesses (CAB), a non-profit organization of Cornish business owners who volunteer their time to promote general business and community welfare in Cornish.
