Summer Bandstand Series
(Music) |
The Saco River Festival Association is running the Bandstand Summer Concert Series at the Cornish Fairgrounds this summer. We keep the programs accessible to the public and on a “donations” basis. This event is sponsored by local businesses and the proceeds from these concerts go to help fund music programs that we provide in the MSAD #55 schools, including sending 4th graders to Merrill Hall to the symphony, bringing in the P.S.O. Kinderconcerts, sponsoring Tri-M, the music honor society, and providing artists and musicians for the S.T.A.R. summer program.
These concerts are a fun, inexpensive way for families to enjoy an evening in our beautiful town. Children who attend will receive free inexpensive gifts at each concert like bubbles, beanbag animals, etc. |

Fryeburg Fair |
It was a chilly day in March of 1851 when a few local farmers and merchants got together and decided to show off their produce, cattle and wares to the community. Since those humble beginnings, Fryeburg Fair has grown to become Maine's largest agricultural fair complete with six days of harness racing, a farm museum second to none, the world's largest steer and oxen show and a reputation known throughout North America. |
