If you did not know there was a kiosk in the park, your not the only one. Our members recognized the potential for the kiosk as a central information platform for visitors to find out about current events, local and surrounding businesses, and near by activities. CAB went to the town's selectmen and asked permission to paint and repair the kiosk and about our member's vision. The vision:
The project was approved, and Charles DeArville, chair of the project, got to work with CAB president Scott Rowley. The project was completed quickly and we now have the structure painted and information in the glass side of kiosk. We are waiting the installation of the enlarged version from the inside of the Cornish brochure. CAB would like to thank Charles for his expertise and help in getting this project completed and Will from Bellfast who helped wile he visited Cornish! 2010 First Moving Meeting I, along with the CAB Officers thank the 19 people who attended our first 'moving meeting' held in Limerick at The Clipper Tea House. A special Thanks to Heather Labbe for hosting this event and providing the venue, desserts, fruits and beverages. Those in attendance were 12 CAB members, 3 guests, 3 local businesses, and one guest speaker. Dana Roffler, Manager of the Maine Tourism Center in Fryeburg shared information on how the Maine Tourism helps its members, what visitors are asking to do while in Maine, and why Maine is such a drawer to the Tourists. She provided several marketing suggestions that would help make this area a destination for visitors to enjoy. At the close of the evening, every business there interacted among one another, got acquainted and CAB gained 3 new members. Our next moving Meeting will be in September. Watch for the date, place and details. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE! — Sincerely, Scott Rowley, CAB President Here are some photos from the meeting:
