The Cornish Association of Businesses (CAB) is sponsoring the 26 Annual Cornish Apple Festival on Saturday, September 26 in historic Cornish Village located in the scenic Western mountain and lakes region of Maine on Route 25 — 30 miles West of Portland and 9 miles East of the New Hampshire border. Each year, this FREE festival is held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the center of Cornish village in historic Thompson Park and features more than this season’s apples, freshly pressed cider and other apple products from local vendors.

The festival is outside and will take place in rain or shine.

This year is featuring*:

  • Over 50 vendors offering jewelry, art, photography, crafts, farm produce, apple and non-apple cuisine
  • Entertainment from local performers
    • 9:30-10:30: Brian Wardwell (Country Music soloist from Limerick)
    • 10:30-11:30: Dance Demo: “All That Dance” (Buxton)
    • 11:30-1:00 “Jenny Lou Drew and The Damage Done”, indie folk/rock (Jenny grew up in Limington, ME)
    • 1:00-2:00: Dance Demo: “Centre of Movement” (Gorham/Limington)
    • 2:-400:: “Full Circle” Classic Rock Cover Band That Get's You Up On Your Feet Website:
  • Activities For the young or young at heart: <
    • 11:00-1:00: Balloon Animals by “Party Palooga”
    • 1:00-3:00: Juggling (Windham Christian Academy students)
  • Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest and Auction
  • Shopping at many local shops
  • Commemorative poster for sale signed by the artist

Thompson Park will be the center of the day’s festivities featuring colorful booths of arts and crafts. Additionally, many food booths offering delicious food, especially the apple fritters, will delight the appetites of both the young and old.

In addition to the crafts and food, live entertainment will be performed throughout the day.

Apple Festival visitors can also enjoy shopping in the many antique and crafts stores that line the Main, High and Maple streets of Cornish. Shopping is also available at near by town of Limerick, South Hiram, Porter, and Parsonsfield.
